Chippewa Co. Red Cross Providing Emergency Shelter

In Chippewa County the Red Cross is providing an emergency shelter.

It’s located at the Superior Township Hall on M-221 in Brimley.

The Red Cross relief trailer has cots, food and other essentials.

The township’s fire chief says the shelter is open to anyone as a safe, warm place to stay and recharge their phones.

And a warming center at Sault Ste. Marie Area Public Schools is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
