MTM On The Road: New Year’s Eve in Ludington

2020 is finally almost here! Ludington has several New Year’s Eve Activities for children and adults for their 11th annual ball drop.

Each year NYE brings nearly 10,000 of people to downtown.

There are a variety of New Year’s Eve activities around town plus services like companies are offering free rides on New Year’s Eve.

Kids can celebrate the new year early at the New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop & Stomp at Sandcastles Children’s Museum with conga music, food, party favors, ice cream sundaes, crafts for all ages, dress up, balloon drops, and more.

The Mason County District Library  is doing a New Year’s Eve Family Party from 7:30-11:30 p.m. featuring crafts, games and activities for party-goers of all ages including board games, Legos and video games.

Ludington Area Center for the Arts will be showing the movie the Great Gatsby.

Ludington Public Works Department is getting ready the ball drop ball ready where it will drop in the heart of downtown at midnight.

Activities begin at 9 p.m. when a tent opens for music and there will be dancing and beer tasting. There will be a 5K race on New Year’s Day and the first Saturday of the New year begins Ludington’s fun winter offerings such as the lantern-lit snowshoeing and guided snowshoe walks at Ludington State Park weekends in January and February.
