Democrats Push for Rep. Amash to Become Senate Impeachment Manager

A group of freshmen Democrats is pushing a Michigan representative to become the impeachment manager for the Senate’s trial.

Justin Amash has been outspoken about his support for impeaching President Trump.

The Michigan lawmaker left the Republican Party after criticizing the president.

He’s now an independent.

A group of 30 freshman Democrats say Amash could reach conservative voters in a way Democrats can’t.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to make a decision next week.
