Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department Asking for Help Looking For Break-In Suspect

The Newago County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man accused stealing several items from a home.

It happened Thursday morning in Croton Township.

The Sheriff’s Office says the homeowner came home to find a man in her kitchen.

The man ran off, taking several firearms, jewelry, coins and medication.

Deputies say the homeowner shot at him several times as he ran away.

He’s described as a 170 pound white man, wearing a dark ski mask, a real tree-type camouflage coat, tennis shoes and jeans.

Deputies believe he took off in a maroon ‘Jeep’-type SUV, possibly driven by a white man with a dark, trimmed beard.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the sheriff’s office.
