What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: FamJam, Nature Holiday Crafts, Christmas Dinner
The holidays are coming, and there’s plenty of ways you can enjoy it all without traveling too far.
Adrienne Brown-Reasner from the West Michigan Tourist Association has details on What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
These special FamJam packages include lodging, lift tickets, and options like extreme tubing, dog sledding, or sleigh rides.
Pick your activities and get ready for some snowy shenanigans.
All FamJam packages come with complimentary evening arrival lift tickets, giving you a little more time to hit the slopes.
Take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle and drop in to Grass River Natural Area in Bellaire on Saturday, December 14, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., to create an assortment of nature-inspired holiday crafts and gifts.
Make an ornament using a jar lid, paint a Santa face on a carved twig, build a snowman ornament using slices of a tree, create a natural birdfeeder using a pine cone, or design your own environment friendly giftwrap and cards.
This two-hour program is $5 per child, perfect for ages 3 and above, but all ages are welcome.
This year, spend Christmas day relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends while Aerie Restaurant and Lounge at Grand Traverse Resort in Acme takes care of the cooking.
Head there on Christmas day for a wonderful dinner complete with all of your holiday favorites, like mashed potatoes, prime rib, pie, and more.
The buffet will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $34.95 for adults, $16.95 for ages 5 to 12, and guests under four years old are complimentary.
Make your Christmas day reservations by calling the Grand Traverse Resort or by visiting their website.
