Cadillac Trucking School Helping Truckers Impacted by Closing of Indiana Based Trucking Company

A northern Michigan trucking school is working to help drivers impacted after an Indianapolis based trucking company declared bankruptcy.

Celadon Trucking filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week and immediately announced it was ending all operations.

That left thousands of truck drivers without jobs.

Pinnacle Truck Driver Training in Cadillac is now offering free placement services to any of those truck drivers currently looking for a job.

They say many of the trucking companies they work with have openings for experienced truck drivers and are even offering bonuses for signing on.

“This is all about helping the industry out. We do provide quality new drivers to the industry but there’s a training cost to these companies that’s involved with that. These guys like I said, are ready, road ready to go. Our partner companies, as many students as we provide to them, they still need more drivers,” said Tim Baker, VP of Operations at Pinnacle.

Pinnacle says they’ve already had calls from Detroit, Kansas City and California.
