Michigan Recreational Marijuana Sales Total More Than $1 Million in First Week
In the first week of business in the state, recreational marijuana sales have totaled more than $1 million.
The Detroit Free Press says from December 1-8, marijuana brought the state about $270,000 in revenue from the excise and sales taxes.
The Marijuana Regulatory Agency says 10 retail licenses have been handed out for recreational marijuana.
Those licenses come after 1,400 of the state’s 1,800 cities, townships and villages are not allowing pot shops.
