Project Christmas Prepares for 31st Annual Event

The holiday season is filled with delicious food and perfectly wrapped presents.

However, there are a lot of people who need a little extra help during the holidays.

For the 31st year in a row, Project Christmas is coming to the Wexford County Civic Center.

The nonprofit’s event serves families across Wexford and Missaukee counties.

On Saturday, December 7, registered families can go to the Wex to get everything they need including gifts, holiday meal groceries, and every day necessities.

Project Christmas is a nonprofit Judy Coffey has volunteered with for years, and she says one of the best parts is the reaction from the families she helps.

“The gratitude of the people is just amazing. They are so appreciative of all that is offered to them and what they can choose from. The goal is to make sure everyone in our greater community, both Wexford and Missaukee counties has a good Christmas,” Coffey explained.
