The Four

Adopt at the Great Lakes Humane Society

We love sharing adoptable pets with you here on ‘the four’ so we are showing off some of the dogs from the Great Lakes Humane Society in Traverse City.

Here they are:

“Sadie’s story is quite a tale. Rescued from a high kill shelter, she thought her Cinderella story had begun until she chased her new owner’s cat. Now this pretty pit with the golden personality is looking for a special forever home. She might not win a beauty contest, but she sure would win Miss Congeniality!”

“River is a seven-year-old beautiful Bloodhound and was used as a breeder at a puppy mill in the Cadillac area. Fortunately she was rescued, brought back to health and is now ready to be a wonderful companion. River is great with cats, kids and female dogs. And, of course, she is spayed, so no more puppies for this pooch!”

“Bandit is a two-year old whippet mix. He was found emaciated and slated for euthanasia by another shelter when he was transferred to Great Lakes Humane Society. With good care, Bandit has gained weight and been given a second chance at life.”

They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and you can head in to check out these dogs and so many more adoptable pets.
