Wellness for the Family: Car Safety

Everyone knows that driving in northern Michigan is already a dicey task, but add in some snow and ice and we are in for a real treat.

We had registered dietitian of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Grace Derocha in the Heritage House to talk all about how you can prepare for winter driving.

She recommends having an ice scraper, flashlight, some snacks, a blanket, a phone charger, some salt, and even emergency kit items like a flare, air tire pressure gauge, ponchos, a vest, jumper cables, zip ties, and work gloves.
