Looking to make some extra cash this holiday season?

Facebook can help with that.

In this week’s Tech Tuesday, we explain how Facebook is paying users to participate in market research.

Facebook recently launched a new app that offers to pay users for their feedback.

The new Facebook Viewpoints app rewards users for participating in surveys, tasks and research.

The social media company says they’ll use the insights to improve its products and to benefit the broader community.

Here’s how you can get involved.

First you’ll need to download the Facebook Viewpoints app and set up an account. Once your account is set up, you’ll be invited to join programs.

Facebook says before each program, they’ll explain what information they are looking to collect, how they plan to use that information, and how many points you’ll receive for participating in the program.

Once you receive a certain number of points, you’ll receive a payment sent straight to your PayPal account.

For those with privacy concerns, Facebook says they won’t sell information gained from this app to third parties. The social media company says they also won’t publicly share your app activity, and you can end your participation at any time.

The first program is a Well-Being Survey to help the company better understand how the use of social media can impact a person’s well-being.

The app is currently available to anyone in the U.S. 18 and older.
