Federal Trial for Rep. Larry Inman Begins Tuesday
The federal trial of state Representative Larry Inman begins Tuesday.
Inman represents all of Grand Traverse County.
He is charged with attempted bribery, extortion, and lying to the FBI.
This comes from conversations he had with a carpenters union in June of 2018.
Prosecutors say Inman tried to sell his vote on prevailing wage laws.
His lawyers argue the state representative was impacted by pain medication he was taking.
They say Inman was taking opioids following his back surgery, altering his decision making.
