AG Nessel, Better Business Bureau Remind Consumers About Drop Shipping Scam

During this holiday season Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is reminding consumers to protect their wallets.

She’s warning people about a common rip off tactic called drop shipping.

The Better Business Bureau is joining Nessel’s office in warning consumers to double check who you’re buying from.

They say self-proclaimed entrepreneurs try to act as middlemen for online transactions.

They will sell items on a website they don’t actually have in stock then order the item from a third party.

The middle man keeps the difference between what the customer paid and what the warehouse charges.
