Remembering Tom Mueller

We are mourning the sudden loss of one of our own at 9&10 News.

Tom Mueller, the man behind all the graphics you have seen on 9&10 News over the decades, passed away Sunday.

Tom started at 9&10 News back in April of 1975, spending more than 44 years as part of our family.

While you may not have seen his face every day, he left his creative mark on everything you’ve seen on the air over the last four and a half decades.

Tom brought more than Emmy award-winning graphics to 9&10 News and northern Michigan, he brought a cheerful attitude to everyone that came in contact with him.

He loved to talk about sports, especially golf.

Tom could always talk about golf and, in fact, got to play a round Sunday.

But Tom was so much more than a graphic artist and he loved something more than golfing: his family.

He was a loving husband to Joyce, a devoted father to Tommy, Jennifer, Melissa, and Rachael, and a caring grandfather to several grandchildren.

Tom Mueller will be deeply missed by all of us here.
