Thanksgiving Turkey Preparation Tips to Avoid Salmonella

As we get ready to eat our Thanksgiving turkey next week, federal health officials are reminding people to how avoid getting sick.

Officers are releasing a final report on the recent salmonella outbreak linked to raw turkey products.

The widespread two-year outbreak effected more than 350 people around the country and new cases continue to be identified.

No single source of turkey was found, so the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reminds you to thoroughly cook your turkey to 165 degrees
