Northern Michigan’s News Leader is taking the show on the road! We are traveling to your communities and spending a whole week focusing on local stories, events and areas that make Northern Michigan so special.

Each town, city and municipality has a story to tell and 9&10 News wants to shine a light on some of those places.

From the tip of the Mitt all the way down to M-20, our cameras and crew are hitting the road to discover the grandness of these communities.

Our first Community in Focus is Manistee county!

Manistee is a coastal town sitting just along US-31 on Lake Michigan. With its own channel connecting to the Manistee Lake and the Manistee River, it’s an integral fishing town. With historical landmarks, peaceful resorts, and food you can’t get anywhere else, this city is a beautiful destination of Northern Michigan.
