The frigid temperatures and the snowy conditions have opening its door every night to those in need.  The shelter recently opened for the fall and winter seasons just a couple of weeks ago and the need for volunteers is always there.

Mike McDonald with Safe Harbor says people can either volunteer through participating churches or can simply contact the shelter to set up a training session. McDonald says Safe Harbor is always looking for new volunteers to help with various shifts that could entail everything from cooking a dinner for guests, staying just a few hours or even overnight.
