Michigan Drivers will be Paying Less for Car Insurance Next Summer

By next summer Michigan drivers will be paying less for car insurance.

Wednesday the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association announced a 55% cut in what you’ll pay for unlimited lifetime medical coverage.

Currently, it’s $220 a year per vehicle.

Starting in July it will drop to $100.

A new law makes the catastrophic benefit optional.

The Catastrophic Claims Association says unless they run a deficit, drivers who choose less personal injury coverage won’t even have to pay the $100 fee.
