Join Self-Defense Classes at Seung-ni Martial Arts Academy
Self-defense for women goes beyond physical strength and technique. That’s why one class at the Seung-ni Martial Arts Academy in Traverse City is hoping to empower and inspire women of all ages with their weekly, women’s self-defense class. The class meets every Thursday evening from 8:10 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Master trainer with more than 20-years of experience, Lisa Sheldon has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and wants to encourage other women. She says first timers are always welcome and thinks all women should take the time to check out a self-defense class. Sheldon says no matter your physical ability, all women can learn how to use their own strength and mental power to defend themselves if they need do.
