New Provisioning Center Coming to Baldwin, Pleasant Plains Township

It’s been eight years since business owners Audrey and Steve Dominique had to close the doors to their medical marijuana dispensary in Lake County. Now they say they’re excited to be back in business.

Soon, Baldwin will be home to a new provisioning center, a dispensary for medical marijuana.

“Our township has worked with us all the way through, they have just been awesome,” says Audrey. “Helping us get all of the rules and regulations and everything.”

For the last eight years, Pure Michigan Solutions has been a tobacco and smoke shop. Now, the front of the building is getting a transformation and turning into The Green Door Baldwin.

Steve says, “We didn’t want it to represent a hippie joint or anything like that, it is medicine, and we treat it like medicine.”

A business they say is filling a void for many people needing medical marijuana in the 50 mile radius.

In the past, Kari Shae says the closest place to get medical marijuana is in Evart. “It’s a-ways… and a lot of people do need medication and they don’t have the transportation that is required for it,” says Shae.

Owners Steve and Audrey say the new business will also bring more opportunities to Lake County. “We’re hoping that it boosts the whole community, we’re not hoping, we know it does,” says Steve.

The Green Door is also planning to open another provisioning center in Pleasant Plains Township on US-10.
