Supporting infant mental health is the mission of one northern Michigan organization. The Northwest Michigan Chapter of Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health works to connect professionals with families looking for resources and guidance.
The chapter’s first ever gala is happening, Thursday, November 7th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kirkbride Hall at the Village of Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City. The mission of the evening is to promote education and information about early childhood and the importance of early relationships for babies and children.
During the gala, people can expect farm to table food like Rice Centennial Farms in Benzie County and various Traverse City restaurants including Sugar to Salt, Le Becasse, Amical, The Cook’s House, Common Good Bakery and Taproot Cider House.
The chapter’s president, Emily Kohler, talked about the mission behind the organization and why the gala is such a needed event.
