City of Cadillac Unveils New Emergency Response Vehicle

The city of Cadillac has a new emergency rescue and response vehicle that they unveiled Monday.

The city’s goal was to have an emergency vehicle that both the fire and police departments could use to carry multiple people in a protective cabin.

This vehicle is made to respond to a variety of different scenarios including an active shooter, a hazardous material spill or a natural disaster rescue.

“We do have situations on an annual basis again whether they are man- made or natural in which having a protective cabin to bring people in and out of dangerous situations would be an advantage,” said Marcus Peccia, the Cadillac City Manager,

The vehicle was free thanks to the Law Enforcement Support Office Program.
