USDA Releases Hemp Production Interim Rule

Hemp farmers are getting a better picture when it comes to production and regulations.

The USDA has just released a hemp production interim rule.

The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp as a controlled substance.

It also stated the government needs to make regulations for it.

This rule helps with that.

Hemp producers can now apply for a number of agriculture programs to help their farms.

Hemp farmers must also keep up with land information, meet certain test levels, dispose of any plants that do not meet requirements and meet licensing requirements.

The rules also help hemp farmers have insurance coverage.
