Big Rapids Celebrates Fall Festival
Downtown Big Rapids is welcoming back Fall Festival this weekend for the 12th year.
It started Friday night with a chili cook-off for the community.
The fun continues Saturday with a 5-K run, parade, pumpkin roll, and a trunk or treat.
The director of the Downtown Business Association says it’s a fun way to bring the community together to celebrate fall.
“It’s a wonderful family environment with a lot of activities that everyone can enjoy, and a chili cook-off, who doesn’t love chili on a cold night, and it’s free. That’s the other thing. This entire event is free, come down, enjoy the atmosphere, let your kids have some fun, carve pumpkins, color them, paint them,” said Josh Pyles.
