October 23rd is , a day to bring people together against bullying. It’s a time to practice kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and students and teachers the (CTC) celebrated in a big way.

They wore orange shirts to pose for a group photo, providing a look of solidarity in color and they placed Post-It notes on lockers with positive messages, to spread love and encouragement.

Started by in 2011, it’s a way to bring people together and show those who have been victims that they are not alone, to hopefully empower them to speak and reach out.

Junior student, Kaden Darrow said, “We put sticky notes on peoples’ things to show them that we appreciate them a little, ‘you are great’ or ‘you are a rockstar’, ‘thanks for being here’, little things like that make a difference. Bullying is all around even if you don’t see it.”

This is the 5th year the CTC has participated in a Unity Day Event.
