100-Year-Old Sentinel Receives Special Recognition

A promise once made to 100-year-old Jack Eaton had not been kept until today.

Jack is the oldest known living sentinel.

He served at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from 1938 to 1940.

Today, he was able to return to the ground he used to march on.

Watching the sentinel’s each and every in sync step.

Jack was last in Washington D.C. in May with the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight.

Arlington National Cemetery promised the 100-year-old hero one special honor in May, but could not fulfill that promise until today.

Coming up in a special report in November, the promise this hero is finally seeing, the special recognition he received today, and the way his legacy will be preserved for generations.
