MSP Uses Drone to Search for Missing Woman in Benzie County

The sheriff’s office and Michigan State Police continue their search for a missing woman in Benzie County.

Adrienne Quintal was last heard from Thursday morning around 2:45 a.m.

Police say she called a friend asking for help.

Adrienne is from Warren but was visiting the area at her family cabin in Honor.

When police arrived at Adrienne’s family cabin they say they found concerning signs of foul play.

Search crews are now scouring the swampy wooded area nearby.

Troopers say they are still considering this a search and rescue, using ground crews, K-9s and drones to find Adrienne.

“The unmanned aerial vehicle was used to go up and map real-life time to get the topography of what we can see and what we can’t see, and also areas where the troopers and deputies on the ground can’t get to. There are a lot of marshy areas around that it can go over and cover,” explained Lt. Derrick Carroll with Michigan State Police.

Adrienne is 47 years old with brown hair and brown eyes.

She’s 5’7” and 125 pounds.

If you have seen her or know where she may be, call police.
