Community Volunteers Join Search for Missing Downstate Woman in Benzie Co.

The Benzie County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police are still looking for a missing downstate woman.

Saturday, local volunteers came out to join the search.

The sheriff’s office says Adrienne Quintal from Warren drove up to a family cabin in Honor three weeks ago to visit her boyfriend.

They say her boyfriend left the area on Tuesday.

Thursday morning, investigators say Quintal called a friend asking for help.

When deputies arrived at the cabin, she was nowhere to be found.

They say they found possible evidence of foul play, but they say they’re not sure if she’s in danger.

On Saturday, the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, joined the search for Quintal.

“Because we’ve not heard from Adrienne at this time, we have done a more thorough ground search today,” said Lt. Troy Lamerson from the Benzie County Sheriff’s Office. “We have approximately 20 people out here searching the area.”

Adrienne is 47 years old and goes by “Ada.”

She has long brown hair, brown eyes, is 5’ 7” and weighs 125 pounds.

If you have any information that could help police find her, call Benzie County Central Dispatch at 231-882-4487, or contact the Michigan State Police Silent Observer at 1-866-774-2345.
