Traverse City Welcomes “Who is My Neighbor?”

Addiction impacts us all in some way, whether we know someone battling it or we ourselves are involved.  The entire country including northern Michigan is struggling with finding answers to ongoing problems that involve drug and alcohol abuse, but there is a group coming together to talk about solutions.

A first of its kind discussion is happening Thursday, October 17th in Traverse City.  The event called, ‘Who Is My Neighbor?’ is bringing speakers from around the country including faith-based leaders, addiction policymakers, women’s advocacy leaders and local law enforcement to sit down as a team.  Their mission is figure out ways to combat a growing concern within addiction and recovery.

The presentation is going on at the West Bay Beach Hotel in Traverse City from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.  There is no fee to attend and no need for registration.

There will also be a follow up conversation going on, Thursday, October 18th at the Traverse City Elks Lodge for people to meet and continue their conversations from the event.
