An investigation is underway after a Texas woman was shot and killed by police in her own home.

In the early hours of the morning on Saturday, Fort Worth Police responded to a call from a man who said his neighbor’s door was left open.

Four tactical police officers arrived at the home.

One of the officers says he saw a woman standing near a window. The officer shot and killed the woman after he says he received a threat.

That woman was the homeowner, Atatiana Jefferson.

Now questions are being raised about how the officer handled the situation. The officer is on administrative leave right now during the investigation.
