New Book Claims Matt Lauer Raped Colleague

New details have surfaced about the firing of former “Today Show” anchor Matt Lauer.

Allegations in the book “Catch and Kill” accuse the former anchor of rape.

In the book former staffer Brooke Nevils says Lauer assaulted her during the 2014 winter Olympics.

She says the two were in Russia covering the games.

Nevils, says Lauer invited her to his hotel room and then forced himself on her.

She reported the allegations to NBC Universal executives three years later.

Lauer was fired the next day.

“Catch and Kill” is written by journalist Ronan Farrow.

His 2017 article in the New Yorker helped uncover allegations of sexual misconduct against movie producer Harvey Weinstein.
