Woman Tries Using Fake $100 Bill at Traverse City Store

A pair of store clerks in Traverse City were able to stop a customer from using a fake $100 bill.

City police say it happened on Friday afternoon at a retail store on 8th Street.

They say the woman tried to purchase several items, but the fake bill was marked “for motion picture use only.”

Clerks rejected the purchase and told police the woman took the counterfeit $100 with her when she left the store.
