Suttons Bay Man Accused of Operating While Intoxicated, Crashing into Fence

A Suttons Bay man is in jail after his Sunday night drive left a trail of destruction in Kingsley.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office says witnesses saw the driver leave the road and crash into a fence at the Subway on Main Street and Brownson.

The driver then crossed M-113, and witnesses say he veered into the oncoming traffic lane before hitting a fence at the cemetery.

When deputies arrived they say the man was fighting with officers, who had to use a taser.

The 40-year-old man faces charges for operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and resisting arrest.
