Cadillac Mayor Appointed to Michigan Municipal League Board of Trustees

One of the city of Cadillac’s own will now be representing the area down in the state’s capital.

Cadillac Mayor, Carla Filkins was recently nominated and appointed to the Michigan Municipal League Board of Trustees.

This means she will travel down to Lansing about four to six times a year and learn more about ways to improve communities throughout the state.

The Michigan Municipal League works to make Michigan communities better by innovating programs and connecting ideas and people.

The mayor says she’s looking forward to bringing ideas and being a voice for the Cadillac community.

“I look forward to it with the perspective that I’m going to learn more about the state and other communities and how we can work together and get through all of the things that we need to maneuver through this year,” said Carla Filkins, the city of Cadillac mayor.

Their goal is to have Michigan residents love where they live.
