Former Kingsley Middle School Principal Enters Plea in Sex Crimes Case

The former Kingsley Middle School principal accused of inappropriately touching students entered a plea Friday.

Karl Hartman pleaded guilty to three counts of assault with intent to commit sexual contact.

Each charge carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.

As part of a plea deal, all other charges against Hartman were dropped including multiple sex crime charges.

The former Kingsley teacher and middle school principal was accused of inappropriate contact with former students.

Hartman will be sentenced on Nov. 1.
