Former Kingsley Educator Pleads Guilty to Assault

A former educator accused of inappropriately touching students has pleaded guilty in court.

Karl Hartman is a former Kinglsey teacher and middle school principal.

He pleaded guilty on Friday to three counts of assault with intent to commit and could face up to 15 years in prison.

Multiple other charges, including sex crimes, were dropped.

Some of the allegations go back more than 30 years to when Hartman was a first-grade teacher.
