Astronaut Returns Home After Six Months

An American astronaut returned to Earth Thursday morning, after six months aboard the International Space Station.

Nick Hague’s home has been the ISS for six months.

Although, his trip there got off to a rocky start.

His ride to space had to abort mid-flight a year ago after a booster malfunctioned.

The capsule carried Hague and a Russian cosmonaut to safety, but not without some nerves.

NASA gave Hague another shot at space this spring, and it came without issue.

He’s now reflecting on his historic achievements.

Hague’s wife Catie says the family plans to celebrate his homecoming by eating pizza and drinking wine.
