Hearing Scheduled in Petoskey to Discuss Ban on Flavored Vaping Products

It is official, a ban on flavored e-cigarette products is set to go into effect at midnight in Michigan.

It comes after a hearing in Petoskey Tuesday night, hoping to stop that ban from going into effect.

The judge denied a motion that would have allowed vape shop owners to continue selling flavored e-cigarettes.

So the ban is still set to go into effect at midnight.

The judge says there was no enough proof that determined this ban was causing irreparable harm to the owner of 906 Vapor.

However, on Tuesday October 8 they will have a full hearing at the Cadillac Center in Detroit where both sides will provide more evidence and witness testimony.

The owner of 906 is disappointed by the hearing and says he has some work to do.

“Well what happens now is I have to drive all the way back to Houghton and hopefully have enough time to pack things up and get them put away,” owner of 906 Vapor Marc Slis said.
