Treetops Resort in Gaylord Raises Over $1M for Area Charities

Treetops Resort in Gaylord hit a new milestone Monday, raising more than a million dollars in support of charities throughout Northern Michigan.

It comes during their annual Pepsi Invitational, going on right now.

The Pepsi invitational is in its 32nd year and the event sold out, with more than 400 golfers attending.

The event benefits many charitable organizations and scholarships throughout Otsego County and Northern Michigan.

Organizers say they are proud to be able to give back.

“We’re proud to be able to pull it together, to pull together a bunch of people who are passionate about golf and passionate about giving back to the community. That’s really what it’s about for us, pulling people together that have similar passions and being able to achieve this goal,” says Aaron Beach, director of finance for Treetops.

The Pepsi invitational ends Tuesday.
