House Leader Pelosi Expected to Announce Formal Impeachment Inquiry

Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi is expected to announce a formal impeachment inquiry.

This comes after she talked with six House Democrats about what their course of action should be.

Pelosi has been talking with fellow Democrats over the last several days on whether she should push for impeachment.

She wanted to take this action before Thursday.

That’s when the acting director of National Intelligence is scheduled to speak before a House committee.

They hope to hear details on a whistleblower’s complaint against President Trump’s connections to Ukraine.

Several other Democrats have publicly supported the idea of impeaching President Trump following his phone call with Ukraine’s president.

President Trump is reported to have pressured Ukraine’s leader eight times during the call to investigate Joe Biden and his son.

His son, Hunter, was on the board of a Ukrainian oil company which the country’s top prosecutor investigated.

Following the investigation, Joe Biden, while as vice president, pushed for the removal of the prosecutor.

Many in the international community viewed this prosecutor as weak on corruption.

There is no evidence of any wrongdoing by either Biden.

We are expecting to hear from Speaker Pelosi. We’ll bring you her address live on 9&10 at 5 as soon as she steps up to the microphone.
