FUSE Young Professionals Encourages People to Vote in Traverse City

Election Day is six weeks away.

And Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day.

To help people prepare, several members of the FUSE Young Professionals group in Traverse City took to downtown sidewalks to spread awareness about proper voter registration.

Traverse City voters will decide on races for mayor and county commissioners among other things.

The vice chairman of the group says the more people that are aware of the election on November 5, the better.

“We see this as a very important election not only just for Traverse City but for our region as a whole. As we continue to see what Traverse City is going to be,” says Connor Miller, vice chair for FUSE Young Professionals.

Voters in Michigan passed a law last November allowing registrations up until the day of the election.
