Group in Grand Traverse Co. Collecting Signatures for Rep. Inman Recall Petition

“I would like to see our representatives held accountable, from our state representative to our president.”

A group in Grand Traverse County is now working to gather signatures in the ongoing effort to recall State Representative Larry Inman.

This comes after a grand jury indicted Representative Inman on multiple charges, including attempted bribery and extortion, and lying to the FBI.

Since then Inman completed treatment for an opioid addiction.

Inman returned to Lansing earlier this month, however his office had been closed and he was removed from his committees and the republican caucus.

He does still collect his government salary and benefits.

Now groups like this say it’s time for Grand Traverse County to have a voice in the State House again.

“When I started to recruit folks it was really clear that folks were ready to go and the community is really behind this effort,” says Inman Recall Committee campaign manager, Kaitlin Flynn.

The group has 60 days to collect more than 12,000 signatures.
