Isabella Co. Rape Case Could be Reopened Following Resignation of Assistant AG
An Isabella County rape case could be reopened.
It comes after the prosecuting attorney on the Ian Elliott case admitted to having a relationship with one of Elliott’s accusers.
Earlier this month, Assistant Attorney General Brian Kolodziej resigned because of that inappropriate relationship.
Attorney General Dana Nessel accepted.
Nessel and her office are looking through Kolodziej’s past cases to see if there is any other evidence of inappropriate behavior.
Wednesday the attorney general met with Elliott’s attorney and they agreed to meet again after the attorney general finishes her investigation into the case.
Elliot is currently serving a year and a day in prison after pleading no contest to the rapes in July.
