JCPenney Grants Cadillac YMCA $5K to Support After School Programs

The JCPenney Communities Foundation is supporting YMCA youth programs by awarding a $5,000 grant Monday to the Cadillac area YMCA.

Throughout the year JCPenney customers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, donating that change to the foundation.

They provide grants like these that support the YMCAs’ after school programs, as well as food and transportation for local kids.

“We do a lot of programs for our after school teen center daily, to our teen impact program. And our service to youth, especially teens in the last three or four years has really increased. So the additional funding will really help us out to continue that service,” says executive director Mike Kelso.
