What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Fall Schooner Ride, Dinner Series & Farm-To-Table Meal
Courtney Sheffer, from the West Michigan Tourist Association, has a few events that might catch your eye in this week’s What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
Fall Schooner Ride | Suttons Bay
The fall season is a great time to be on the water in Northern Michigan, and the Inland Seas Education Association will get you out on the water in style on their schooner in Suttons Bay.
This time of year, temperatures are comfortable, the traffic is light, and you’re likely to see fall colors.
They’re hosting a dessert sail on Sunday, September 22nd.
Enjoy coffee, hot cocoa, and a special local dessert on this two-hour fall sail.
You can help raise the sails and steer the ship while on board, or just sit back and relax.
Dinner Series at Left Foot Charley | Traverse City
They’ve teamed up with a local restaurant to offer locally focused and seasonally-driven foods to complement the wines and ciders made at Left Foot Charley.
Each meal is $18, and you’ll receive happy hour pricing on your first glass of wine or cider to accompany your meal.
Farm-To-Table Meal at Castle Farms | Charlevoix
You’ll also find a delicious local meal at Castle Farms in Charlevoix.
They’re hosting a farm-to-table dinner and tour on Sept. 18 and again on Oct. 9.
After your tour of beautiful castle farms, you’ll enjoy a three-course catered dinner which showcases meats and vegetables from local farms.
The chef will be on hand to introduce each dish and you can accompany your meal with wine from Castle Farms’ very own wine label: 1918 cellars.
