Mental Health Program Receives Funds for Update and Expansion

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services recently received $500,000 from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund.

This money will be used to modernize and expand the Behavioral Health Home initiative.

The BHH bring together physical and behavioral health services for those who are on Medicaid and have a serious mental illness and is offered in Grand Traverse and Manistee Counties.

The money from the endowment fund will be used to expand the initiative’s operations into more counties and provide services for up to 4,000 more residents.
