Cheese Cup Fishing Tournament Brings in Nearly $19,000 for Third Level Crisis Center

A group of friends continues to keep a loved one’s memory alive through a special fishing tournament.

Northern angler owner Brian Pitser lost his friend to suicide in 2017.

That’s when they decided to do something to help bring depression out from the shadows.

So they created a fishing tournament, The Cheese Cup, as a fundraiser.

This year the tournament brought in almost $19,000 for Third Level Crisis Center.

“Quite honestly, it’s overwhelming for us. The generosity of our customers, our clients, and the participants of The Cheese Cup, it’s overwhelming,” said Brian.

Around 100 people took part in the third annual Cheese Cup this past June.
