The 25th Annual Grand Traverse Shuffleboard Tournament is Next Week!

Shuffleboard is serious business at the in Traverse City.  In 1930, the first shuffleboard courts in Michigan were created in Traverse City.  Every year there’s a special competition where area celebrities take on the seniors to see who has what it takes on the shuffleboard courts.

This year, the is celebrating the 25^th anniversary shuffleboard tournament on Wednesday, August 21 at 3 p.m. The yearly tradition has become a special part of the senior center in Traverse City and this year the tournament is celebrating their historic milestone.
