Russian Plane Damaged by Flock of Birds, Crashes in Moscow
At least 23 people were injured after a Russian plane hit a flock of birds and was forced to make an emergency landing in a field.
Shortly after taking off from Moscow, the plane hit a large flock of birds, damaging both engines.
The pilot managed to safely land the plane in a field just about a half mile away from the Moscow airport.
The airline says 23 people, including five children, were hospitalized after the rough landing.
It appears at this time that none of the injuries are life threatening.
