Michigan Police Unity Team Cycling Across Northern Michigan to Honor Fallen Officers

Thirteen law enforcement officers are cycling their way through Northern Michigan honoring officers killed in the line of duty.

They’re called the Michigan Police Unity Team.

Wednesday is the fourth and final day of their trek.

It started on Sunday in St. Joseph and will end Wednesday in Petoskey.

They’ll cycle over 300 miles by the time they’re done.

Along the way they are stopping at memorials for fallen officers and local police departments.

The Unity Team says 70 officers across the country have been killed in the line of duty this year.

They hope their ride will help more people realize the impact this has on families and children.
